I made birds for my series of etchings from In Flanders Fields. Virgil went a little “crazy” and began making lots and lots of riffs on my ONE bird. I helped him cut out 100 or so when I was in Barcelona recently.  After I left, he continued on with the idea…

They will be flying all over the space for the new show, “Flyers”, or “Papers Volants” in Catalan, meaning “flying papers.” Used exactly as we use the word flyers to mean little announcements, or a small handbill advertising something.
